Provision of gardening service west view 2 security estate - Pretoria North

The West View 2 Home Owners Association (HOA) is hereby inviting interested service providers to quote for the provision of gardening services at West View 2 Security Estate. West View 2 Estate is a complex site situated in Andeon, Ext 8, 18 and 39.

The contract period for the gardening services will be for a period of 12 months, renewable for 3 months, based on performance and compliance with the other essential requirements including conduct.

Description of the Product or Service Required (Gardening). Rendering of gardening service at the identified sites or areas in and outside of the complex.Maintenance of the parks and common areas in the HOA. Cleaning of the identified areas and removal of garden waste generated by the garden service provider from the premises.

Pruning and trimming (Only at entrances)

Maintain and report on the irrigation where irrigation was already installed
Exterior sidewalks: Erma, Entabeni and Kenneth Street
Quote on ad-hoc basis to have the refuse that is dumped removed
Interior Sidewalks
Drainage to be kept clear of leaves & debris
Public Park 1 (Mpeta Street)
Public Park 2 (C/O Cape Gannet & Polanete Street)
Monitor & Check Irrigation – Common Property

Gardening and Tools Requirements:

The following points are important to be observed throughout:
•All staff shall be in identifiable uniform when performing duties inside the complex;
•Uniform shall bear the company name and/or logo;
•Staff shall have name tags for identification all the time;
•The appointment service provider shall provide required tools to meet the objectives of the project;
•No tools will be supplied by the West View 2 HOA or the HOA members;

Staff complement to be 75% local residents;

Examples include Lawnmowers, Trimmers, Spades, Forks Garden Hoovers/Blowers, Hand Trowels, Pruners, Pruning Saws, Garden Hoses – 150m. Wheel Barrows, Knapsack Sprayers, Adequate PPE for protection against the spread of infections of Covid-19, transportation to remove waste material, and many others that may not have been mention on this list. – The square meters in total are: 19500 square meters.

Times of Service:

-08:00 – 17:00 (Monday to Friday)
-09:00 – 13:00 (Saturdays)
-Sundays and Public Holidays (No Work Allowed)

Closing date of tender application is the 25 August 2020.
Compulsory site visit is the 22 August 2020 from 12:00 - 14:00.

N.B Site inspection is compulsory for all prospective Bidder’s, failure to adhere to this requirement will automatically disqualify the Bidder.

Appointment date 1st of September 2020.
